70 frames aligned and summed together (enhanced 2)1165 viewsThis is the result of aligning 70 frames captured at ISO200, 8sec, f/2.8. with my Panasonic FZ20. Levels and gamma adjusted to view most stars.
Used a simple tripod and a remote shutter. Alignment was done by own software partly written in C, and partly in matlab (i'm using octave). Sourcecode will be released when I'm done with my thesis.
Don't forget to view the first image of the 70 frame sequence, and compare the difference.

The moon behind some thin clouds.1156 viewsUncropped 12x zoomed image of the moon. I like the effect of the thin clouds, so I enhanced it a little by increasing gamma slightly. Then resized from 2560x1920 down to 1024x768 (just as most of my images).
