It's a very noisy image, and most stars can't be seen even if one plays with levels, due to the large ammount of noise. I put this image with a higher gamma in the album as well, where it's more clear how noisy the original image really is.

70 frames aligned and summed together (enhanced 2)1373 viewsThis is the result of aligning 70 frames captured at ISO200, 8sec, f/2.8. with my Panasonic FZ20. Levels and gamma adjusted to view most stars.
Used a simple tripod and a remote shutter. Alignment was done by own software partly written in C, and partly in matlab (i'm using octave). Sourcecode will be released when I'm done with my thesis.
Don't forget to view the first image of the 70 frame sequence, and compare the difference.
