burning cooking oilIn this photo, one table spoon of cooking oil was placed in a can and put on a camping stove, and when the oil started burning, water was added.
This demonstrates that it's never a good idea to extinguish burning cooking oil with water. One should instead suffocate the fire by putting a lid on the container if cooking oil starts to burn.Oct 12, 2008
